At the Wellington Park sale the whole of the yearlings were disposed of, and the total proceeds of the sale were 6201 guineas. Mr Power represented Mr S. Hordern of Sydney and was a large purchaser. It is intended to ship the racehorse St Hippo to Melbourne on the 14th inst. Merganser has been scratched for all engagements at the Wellington Racing Club's Summer meeting, and Swordbelt has been scratched for the Wellington Cup. Calcutta, Deeeinbe 28. At the Calcutta races to-day the leading event, the Viceroy's Cup, wfa, one mile and three-quarters, was won by the Australian horse Highborn.
