On November 6 a inarching competition was held between bodies of men drawn from various branches of the British forces. Out of 17 teams that competed 11 traversed the whole distance of more than 50 miles over bad roads. The men were in full marching order, I carrying about 35 pounds weight of equipments. Two of the teams accomplished the' feat in less than 18 hours.
