[FROM OUB OWN COBBE3PONDBNT.] The Beaconsneld picnic was held on Monday, on the usual ground at the foot of the hill, and was well attended. There were races and scrambles for lollies for r. the young folks, and music and dancing [^ for the elders. In the evening Mr Fitton/"^ entertained his friends at his residence 5 with music and dancing, which was kept ;" up until morning. -;-iK The showery weather has retarded haymaking considerably, and the crops of grass are very heavy.
