Wellington, This Day, The amount of Land Tax paid up to yesterday amounts 10 L 284,698, in addition to which there will be a considerable number remittances by post, as letters bearing yesterday's postmark will be accepted without fine. In the return prepared by Mr Crombie, the Commissioner, under date 7th July, and laid on the table of Parliament, the revenue is estimated at L 286,914, which is certain to be exceeded.
