The arrests have caused a profound sensation. Domiciliary visits to the prisoners' residences resulted in the seizure of important documents. The Pall Hall Gazette declares that the Home Rule Bill is based on the lines of the Act grunting representative constitution to New Zealand in 1852. During the hearing of the Worth Meath election petition, it was elicited that a priest struck two old women who wore adverse to Davitt's candidature. This evidence created a sensation in Court. Extraordinary measures are being taken to ensure secrecy with regard to the Home Rule proposals of the Government.
