A COMPLAINT.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAR. Sir, — Will you permit me, through your columns, to inform the " larrikins" of FeUding (a set of mischievous youths who in England would be called " young blackguards") that if ever I catch any of them throwing stones at horses or other animals quietly grazing in my (or anyone else's) paddock I will do my best to have them exposed and punished. It was only yesterday that my servant saw two of them (one of whom she well knew) throwing stones at a horse in my paddock, and when she expostulated with them they told her that the horse was not hers and that she had no business to interfere. They then went further on and began to throw stones at the Rev. Mr Hermon's horse, A few days ago our horse was injured in the back by a stone which had been thrown at him. I am, etc., Saml. Goodbehere. Feilding, December 2, 1892.
