Local Industry

+ We have recently inspected Mr Wil* ham Summers' cordial manufactory, Feilding. A new two horse power automatic steam engine from the Shipman Engineering Company, Boston, U.S.A., has been erected by him. By the use of this engine, which does away with coal or wood as fuel, and is heated by kerosene, a considerably economy is effected. The engine was imported through the agency of Mr Hosking, of Eeilding, has been fitted up by him, and is now in full working order. Mr Summers has also erected a new aerated water machine, with all the most recent improvements, by Bratby and Co, of London, and is now able to turn out a very large and increased quantity of aerated waters of the best quality. Mr Summers also imports all the essential oils and essences required in the manufacture of his various ar Holes, in copper drums, direct from the wholesale manufacturers, so the purity of the same is guaranteed, as it is quite impossible to tamper with, or adulterate these goods in any way during transit. We have had the pleasure of sampling Mr Summers' aerated waters and other non alcoholic beverages, and can s^eak most highly as to their being excellent, palatable, and cooling dnnks suitable for the summer season. We congratulate Mr Summers on his enterprise, and wish him all the success it deserves.
