Palmerston North District Hospital Board

-4A meeting of delegates from the following districts was held at Mr Bray's office yesterday afternoon, for the purpose of electing four representatives to serve on the above Board, Mr Bray the Returning Officer presided. The repre* sentatives present were : — Mr Purkiss, Halcombe Town Board ; Mr Booth, Manchester Road Board ; M r Taylor, Kiwitea and Pohangina Road Boards : Mr Ravenhill, Manawatu Road Board; and Mr Kendall of Fitzherbert Road Board. Proposed by Mr Tajlor, seconded by Mr Purkiss, That Mr F. Y. Lethbridge, be elected a member of the Palmerston N . District Hospital and Charitable Aid Board.— Carried. Proposed by Mr Booth, seconded by Mr Purkiss, That Mr Taylor be elected a member of the Palmerston North District Hospital and Charitable Aid Board.— Carried. Proposed by Mr Booth, seconded by Mr Taylor, That Mr Purkiss be elected a member of the Palmerston North District Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. — Carried. A motion moved by Mr Rayenhill, secouded by Mr Kendall, that Mr Kendall be elected a member of the Board was lost, and the following amendments moyed by Mr Kendall, seconded by Mr Ravenhill, that Mr Ravenhill be elected a member of the Palmerston North District and Charitable Aid Board was earned, by 3 votes for, to 1 against. At the Feilding Borough Council yesterday afternoon, a meeting presided over by Mr Hill the I Returning Officer, was held, to olect a representative from the Feilding and Foxton Boroughs, to serye upon the above Board, as under the new arrangements these two Boroughs now return one member conjointly. The Feilding Borough nominated Mr Edmund Gocdbehero, and this gentleman was declared duly elected as no other oandidate was proposed.
