RE DOG TAX.

I Mtt> Tn r_.r,l» «-n wnnr r.orresnondent I ""'I ■•■" '"fj ~~ J"-- _ I " A Sufferer " on the matter of raising tbe Dog Tax to 10s per head, I would like to refer him to the Dog Registration Act, 1890, at present in force, Mr Sufferer ! will there fiud that the Dog Tax is | fixed by statute at 2/6 per dog, for sheep doga only, therefore there is no responsi- | bihty resting on tho Road Boards, nor 1 have they any power to raise it above that amount.
