Yesterday Mr Edmund Goodbehere was elected unopposed for the osition of ; Mayor of the Borough of Feilding. It will be remembered tbat last year Mr Goodbehere contested with Mr W. G. Haybittle for the honor and was defeated by a comparatively small majority, after a ! gallant fight by both sides. Mr Goodbe--1 here has eerved an apprenticeship in the I Council of nearly four years and during the whole of that time he has conscientiously and ably done his duty to his fellow burgesses. We are assured that he will do honor to the very responsible position he has been chosen to occupy. During his term of office we may expect to see some radical changes which no doubt will be for the progress and benefit of the town of Feilding.
