At the Racing Conference a deputation from the Manawahi and other country racing clubs waited on the conference and asked that country clubs be represented on the metropolitan committee. It was left to the chairman to reply to the request. The motion from the Canterbury Jockey Club, that the H per cent Government Tax should be deducted from the ten per cent charged by clubs, was postponed uutil next meeting.
