Wellington Land Board
The monthly meeting of this body, was held at Wellington on Thursday morning Present — Messrs J. H. Baker, Commissioner (in the chair), T. H. Fisher, and W. 11. Fitzhorbert, The Commissioner drew the attention of the Board to the main provisions of the new Land Act of 1892, which came into force that dav, and gave a resume of the difference between it and the old Acts, as to the manner in which the present selectors of Crown lands would be affected. The followiug applications to obtain titles were approved : — E. B. Hare, section 53, block 9, Mangaone; J. J. Mead, section 43, block 5, do ; W. and G. Ash worth, sections 128 and 2, blocks 14 and 15, Apiti; T. R. Chamberlain, section 66, block 13, and section 67, block 13, Apiti; W. R. Chamberlain, section 65, block 13, do; TV. Wilson, section 33, block 11, do ; E. Nix, section 24, block 7, do ; W. Sparway, section 1, block 7, do ; F. D. S. Potts, section 7, block 7, do ; E. Baker, section 17, block 14, Ongo; J. Larsen, section 45, block 16, do ; G. A. Phillips, section 42, block 4, do ; H. Charlton, section 8, block 16, Ongo. The following application to obtain title was refused, the conditions not having been complied with : — J. Gould, section 36, block 7, Apiti. The following applications to transfer were' approved : — Section 30, block 4, Ongo, J. R. Harper to J. Bae ; section 41, block 4, Ongo, A. May to E. Roper ; section 30, block 11, Apiti, G. Osborne to H. Osborne ; section 17, do do, F. J. G, W. Roberts to D. S. Prince ; section 6, block 14, Pohangina, E. Potts to B. Breslin ; W. J. Hope-Johnstone to C. H. E. Hope-Johnstone ; section 1358, Bunny* thorpe A. Dick to M. Aldersen. The following applications to transfer were refused :— Section 35, block 3, Apiti, Apiti, T. R. Ruscoe ; section 37, block 3, Apiti, J. Rtiscoe ; section 14, block 4, Apiti, J. Nixon. The following applications to capitalise were approved : — section 34, block 16, do, A. Enox ; section 32, block 9, Pohangina, J. Stratton ; section 33, block 11, Apiti, W. Wilson ; section 24, block 7, do, E. Nix ; section 1, block 7, do F. D. S, Cotts ; sections 47, 51 and 52, blocks 13 and 15 Apiti and Ongo, F. B. Mcßeth ; sections 45 and 16, block 16, Ongo, J. Lareen ; sections 42, block 4, Ongo, G. A. Philps. Mr T. Hennelly wrote with reference to his having sold section 9, block 11, Apiti, to Mr J. Humphrey without first obtaining the board's consent to his doing so, and it was resolved to ask him to send down the agreement mentioned by him.
