In the legal action Groom v. the proprietors of the Age. claiming £10,000 damages, a verdict was returned for the defendants with costs, Sydney, October 27. At the wool sales there is a spirited competition, and prices show an advance on last week's sales, a fact which is partly due to the high standard of the wool offered tor sale. Prices tor wool above average quality have advanced £d, greasies are quoted at 8d to 9jd ; scoured up to Is 4d.
