-♦ Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co. report on their Johnsonville sale as follows :—There was a full muster of fat cattle yarded. The quality and weight varied considerably, but prices remained steady throughout the sale. Prime bul* locks made from £9 LOs to £11 10s ; inferior to medium, £7 Is to £8 17s 6d ; heifers and cows, £5 5s to £7. Sheep were plentiful, principally shorn. The majority of the entry was of first class quality, and included some prime sorts. Shorn wethers, 12s 7d, 14s, 14s sd, and 15s 3d; those in wool, 17s to 18s 9d ; shorn ewes. 10s to 13s 7d ; lambs were numerous, but below butcher's standard and were purchased by the graziers at 5s to 6s. Pigs, in moderate numbers, met with a fair sale.
