♦ There was a good attendance at Mr R. S. Abraham's stock sale at Awahuri on Tuesday. The quality of fat stock appeared to be slightly in excess of demand consequently a few of the pens did not bring, under the hammer, bids equal to the vendors reserves, bub nearly the whole of the rest of the stock was disposed of. One pen of 8 fat bullocks brought £6 19s 6s each, and one of 4 head £6 ss, under the hammer, Forward heifers realised £i, a Hereford bull £i Is, cows £3 7s, £3 Ids, £5 os and £5 14 ; 5 steers and 4 heifers £2 13s 6d, another pen of 25 steers and one heifer £2 9s, and a good pen of 32 brought £4 15s; yearling heifers 30s, and good weaners 295. Ewes and wether hoggets brought Us 7d, wether hoggets 12s 7d and ewe hoggets 13s lid. Other mixed pens of hoggets went at 12s Bd, 11s 4d, 12s 3, and a small lot at 10s. Fat and forward ewes sold at 123 Bd, fat wethers (shorn) at Us Id. Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co. report:— A moderate numbar of stock came forward at Waverley and found buyers at current rates. At Feildiag oar yards were full of really good stock, which found a ready sale at the auction. At Wanganui prices for the stock sold were on a par with those ruling lately. We, however, did not succeed in selling all that were yarded. Cattle. -At Waverley— Cows, £3 9s to £3 10s ; milch cows, L_ 2s Gd to LG ss; bullocks, L 4 to L_ 17s ; steers, L 2 9s 5d toL3 11s, At Wanganui —Bullocks, L 4 17s 6d ; fat cows, L 3 15s to L 5 12s ; yearlings, 265 ; young cattle, L 2 10s. Prices at Feilding almost the same as the above. Sheep.— At Waverley— Hoggets, 12s. At Wanganui— Hoggets, 10s 6d to 12s 6d. At Feilding — Hojrgets, 11s to 12 ; ewes and lambs, 11s 6d to 14s. Pigs. — Large porkers, from 30s tc 355 ; porkers, 15 to 17s 6d ; stores, 10s to 12 ; small pigs, 5s to 6s. Poultry.— Fowls 4s to ss. dscks, 4s 6d to 6s, turkeys 10s to 12s 6d the couple.
