The Hon Edward Richardson,- C.M.G., of Wellington.— Was formally a resident of Christchurch. — Sat for many years in the Lower House as a Canterbury member, aad was connected with several former Governments. John Bigg, Esq., of Wellington.— A compositor in the Government Printing Office, and President of the Trades and Labour Council. , William Montgomery, Esq., of Christchurch.—A very oid Canterbury settler, an ex- Minister, and one of the most pop-, ular men who ever sat in the House of Representatives. John Edward Jenkinson* Esq., of Christchurch.— A boiler maker by trade, and a prominent labour member. William Campbell Walker, Esq., of Christchurch.— A former of the House of Representatives. John Macgregor, Esq., of Dunedm.— A lawyer, and member of the firm of Duncan and Macgregor. James Kerr, Esq., of Greymoutb. — One of the proprietors of the Grey River Argus. William Mouat Bolt, Esq, of Dunedin. —Is a storeman by trade, in the employ of Bing, Harris and CoJ, and a strong labour member. ; Henry Feldwick, Esq., of Inyercargill, —An old journalist, and former member of the House of Representatives. The present strength of the Council with the new appointments is 45. ~
