Feilding Jockey Club
m The programme of the Feilding Jockey Club's Spring Meeting now advertised is a very attractive one, and we feel confident the results will amply justify the club in their liberality. The aggregate of the prizes for the two days reaches £695. The total money to be run for on the first day amounts to £410, which includes the St. Andrew's Handicap of £200. As (the second horse in this race gets £25 and the third £5 from the stakes, there should be a splendid list of nominations for this event. The first event, the Spring Hurdle Handicap of £50 will be a very interesting race and the same may be said of the last event the Flying Handicap also ot £50. On the the second day when the sum of £285. mile be run for, the chief event will be the Manchester Handicap of £100, second horse to receive £10 from the stakes ; but the Shorts of four furlongs for £40 although a qucick race may also be expected to prove somewhat attractive to owners of " flyers. " The concluding event of the Novel Race, the winner ot which is to be sold immediately after the race, will close what should prove a good day's sport. The other races require no special comment. Altogether the club should receive good nominations. Monday, 21st November, 1892.— Weights will be declared (on or about) for first day's handicaps.
