October 12. The following scratchings are posted :— Melbourne Cup — Danton, Playmate, Climax, Idolator, and Cobalt, Caulfield Cvp — Cooramin and Premier. Alf. Josephs has taken LSOOO to L4OO in one line about G'Naroo for the Caulfield Cup, and it is presumably a stable commission. Various other sums have been accepted about the last year's winner. Altogether something like L 12.000 has been secured down to 100 to 12, though 100 to 11 was afterwards procurable. Malolo has been driven back to 100 to 4. Dunedin, October 10.
