Baitery) and Gh Kuchen (Petone Rifle Club) left Wellington for Lydney by the steamer Hauroto last Thursday afternoon to take part in the New South Wales Rifle Association meeting, which opens about the 17th inst. All the aboye are members of the Petone Rifle Club, aud will compete in the Teams Match on behalf of that; club. The Monowai left Auckland the same evening for Sydney, and among the passenger! were Pnvate McCarthy, of the Victoria Eifles, Sergeants Doughty and Webster and Bombardier Brown, of the A. Battery, the Auckland representatives for the New South Wales Rifle meeting.
