(per pbess association.) London, October 8. The wool sales continue steady, but there is no change in prices. At the wool sales there is keen compe titiou for good scoured wools, but the prices of tauity greasy sorts are in buyers' favour. Importers complain fhafc the overstock of frozen meat has not been absorbed and mutton is selling in the provinces under 3d per lb. The .New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have re» ceived the following cable message from their London office, dated 7th instant : — Frozen meat — Mutton market unchanged. Tallow — The finer sorts oloae are in demand, common qualities being neg lected. Quotations unchanged since last cablegram.
