(PES PEEBS ASSOCIATION.) London, October 3. Wheat is 27s lOd— the lowest price on record. Prices at the wool sales continue very firm and competition is brisk especially for greasy combing merinos and well« conditioned crossbreds. German competition is very animated. October 5. At the wool sales prices are unchanged. Competition is still good. Melbourne, October 5. The wool sales opened to-day. There were a large number of buyers, especially American and Continental. Combing wools brought up to 8f d ; scoured, 9d to lOd. The rates at present are about 5 to 74 per cent below last year's average.
