Messrs Lowes and Irons report on tlieir hlket.ihuna stock sale as follows: — Notwithstanding the wet weather the 3'ards were full of both sheep and cattle nt the Eketahuna sale on Wednesday last. Buyers were plentiful, but the bidding was not so brisk as might have been expected ; there was evidentally a feeling that owing to the very high prices dealers hare been giving privately, the reserves would be high, and as a result the buyers were backward. The following prices were realised :— Good hoggets, mixed sexes, 13s 3d ; Inferior hoggets, 9s 6d to 10s ; old ewes with lambs, from bush section, 9s ; Dairy cows and springers, from £4 10s to £5 19s; old cows, low m condition, 60s; heifers, 65s to 90s : 2-year old steers, 85s to 95s ; 18 to 20- month steers, 60s ; year lings, mixed sexes, 47s 6d ; Weaners, poor condition, 345 ; a hack for £7 5s and a pen of pigs, 6s to 8s and 1 sow 50s closed the sale.
