Legislative Council Appointments
VICTORY FOR THE GOVERNMENT (per press association). Wellington. September 26. The Goyernor received a cable from the Colonial Office to-day, instructing him to accept the advice of Ministers respecting the appointments to the Legislative Council. It is understood the Governor is prepared to make twelve appointments at once but Ministers refuse at present to state what course they propoge to take.
