The Cholera Epidemic
[PER UNITED TRESS ASSOCIATION. New York, September 19. The Government of New York has wired to the captain of the troops on the Fire Island to defend the quarantine grounds at all hazards. Berlin, September 21. Deaths in Hamburg to-day num* bered 190. It is expected that owing to severe loss through tke plague there will be many failures. At present there are 6000 clerks out of work. Vienna, September 29. Ten deaths have occurred at Cracow from cholera. Buda Pesth, September 22. Owing to the spread of cholera in Cracow, the schools have been closed and throughout tbe province of Galicia the holding of fairs is prohibited.
