Meeting at Colyton
♦ . | FKOM OTJB OWN COBBESPONDEKT. ) A meeting of the Wanganui Harbor Board Association was held at Colyton Hall on Saturday,. Mr Lucas ii^ the chair, who laid a large amount of correspondence on the table with regard to the Enabling Bill and other matters connected with the Association. The Bill has passed its first reading. Our Member is looking after it. The Premier, Minister of Lands, and Commissioner have all expressed themselves as favourable to its pro visions, there is therefore every probability that it will' become law. The name of the Associatian has been altered by the Government people to " Pohangina Small Farm Association, " you can see the difference between tweedledum and tweedledee. ■"■■}■■[ The Pohangina Farm Homestead Association had a committee meeting in the Colyton. Hall on Saturday last. Messrs Lankshear, C. Wildbore, T. Curran, F. W. Whibley, and D. Hughey (chairman) being present. The meeting was sunlmonedon account of a notice served by the Commissioner that all papers and transfers connected with the Association must be returned to him by the ' 2Brd September. The necessary transfers were passed by the committee in accordance with clause 8. of the regulations. These Farm Homestead Associations are approaching completion. There is to be a committee meeting of the Onslow at Colyton on Saturday, to pass tra,nsf6rs »Stc., the Commissioner had dated his 14 days of grace from September the 14.
