For the Epsom Handicap, Helene is a firm favourite at 5 to 1. Quotations for Metropolitan Handicap are — 6 to 1 against Autonomy, 7to 1 SetKirk, 10 to 1 Marvel and Aealm, 12 to 1 Florrie and Vespasia, 14 to 1 Pippin and Bungebah, 20 to I others. The Hon. J. D. Ormond has purchased the thoroughbred horse Straightshot at Melbourne. ■ At the Feilding Hunt Club Baces|on Wednesday the owner of Eveljn was fined £5 by the stewards for neglecting to bring the mare to the post for the Open Handicap Steeplechase. He had neither weighed out nor scratched. Mr Frank Bell was fined £50 for this offence in Australia. ■
