In the House, replying to questious, Ministers said Government would take every precaution to prevent the spread of. cholera to New Zealand. — The reported cure of la grippe by Chew Chong would be enquired into. — It was not intended to take furthur action in regard to the Plummer shooting cafe.— The contract sent in by Mr Walsh for the formation of three miles of railway between Pahiatua and Palmerston North was £298 aod not £195, and it was not accepted because it was not sent in in time. The cost of the work by the unemployed was only £307, which extra expense was in consequence of extra work being done
