-♦ ■ — (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Hokitika, September 7. The Supreme Court was occupied all day with the libel case Doctor Millington, of Greymouth, v. Dr Whitton, Reefton, dam ages being laid ot £1000. Plaintiff complained of the defendant having inserted advertisements imputing treatment of a criminal nature. The defendant pleaded justification. Thc Judge ruled against this plea, and directed the jury to find the damages. The jury returned nt 10.18 p.m., after a retirement of 50 minutes, with a verdict for L250.
