FEILDING HUNT CLUB STEEPLECHASE. The annual meeting of the above Club was held yesterday on Mr Lethbridge's course. The weather was all that could be desired, and the course was in fair order, though rather heavy and holding in places. Messrs Hill and Poole worked the totalisator, and put through £1027 during the day, which sum is considerably less than last year. The attendance was fairly good— about 400 persons being j present. The various privilege holders appear to have done well, and the secretary (Mr Goodbehere) was, as usual, energetic in the discharge of his duties. There were two or three falls, the worse being in the Open Steeplechase, when Murtagh, on Sir Garnetj came to grief, and had the misfortune to break his collar-bone. In the Ladies' Bracelet Matchless fell, and gave his rider (Humphries) a severe shaking, but no bones were broken. The various officials carried out their duties in an able manner, and the starting of Mr Powell was very good, and gave every satisfaction. The dividends paid were sinall, the favourites winning in nearly every event. F. Mill's Matchless, 9-10 ... 1 (Hall) 32. Hon. J. D. Ormond's Moemoe 2 9-7 (Morris) 73. Mr F. Fisk's Sir Garnet, 11-6 ... 3 (Murtagh) These were the only starters. Sir Garnet fell during the race, and Murtagh's collar-bone was broken and he was otherwise injured. Matchless won easily. Diyidend, £2 10s. Time, smin. 28sec. 6. Ladies' Bracelet, value 15 sovs. — A handicap steeplechase for qualified hunters nominated by ladies ; same conditions as No. 3 eyent; nomination, 10a ; acceptance, s's ; about 2 miles ; to start at 3.30 p.m. 50. Mrs J. G. Wilson's Doctor, 12-3... 1 (T. Cameron) 28. Mrs W. Humphrey's Allegretto 2 11-5 (Chambers) 8. Miss Wotton's Molly Hawk, 11-8... 3 (W. Roache) Matchless (22), Lascar (10), St Elmo (8), Goodwood (5), and Amalgan (11) also started. This was a capital race betweeu the first and second horses and resulted in a victory for Doctor by a neck only. Cameron rode the winner splendidly. Dividend, £2 10s ; time, smin 59sec. 7. Final Hack Flat Handicap, of 15 sovs. — Nomination, 10s ; acceptance, ss ; distance, 6 furlongs ; to start at 4 15 p.m. 48 Mr J. Wdson's Poinsettia, 8-0 ... 1 (Hargreaves) 110 Mr J.
