Feilding Fire Brigade

«. A general meeting of the above Brigade was held on Thursday evening. Present —Captain Peter Thomson, (chairman) Lieut. Eade, Firemen Shearer, Belfit, Whisker, Banger, Newman, and the Secretary, Mr Tank. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence was received, from the Secretary to the United Fire Brigade's Association, enquiring whether the Feilding Brigade would invite the delegates to hold their annual meeting in Feilding. Also, from the same, forwarding forms to be filled up showing the annual returns and roll of members. The proceeds of the tea and concert held in May last, realized £23 IBs 9d. Besolved, That a cordial vote of thanks, be accorded the Employe's Association for their kindness in getting up a concert for the Brigade's benefit, by. which means a sum of £3 Is was added to the funds of the institution. Besolved, That owing to the want of funds, this Brigade is not in a position to entertain the delegates this year. Resolved, That Lieutenant Eade, and Secretary Tank fill up the forms required by the Association. A donation of 10s. from Mr Hosking was received with thanks for the same. Accounts for £2 6s 6d were pas ed for payment. The Secretary wag authorised to draw £1 from the bank on account of petty cash. The meeting then adjourned until Wednesday the 24th inst.
