The Engineer reports as follows, re proposed road lines from Vinegar Hill to the Bangitikei river, opposite the Sandon Small Farm Block :— There is a very good bridge site at the end of the road winch leads to the river from the town ship ; 400 feet would be sufficient to bridge the river, and would go well into the banks on each side of it, as shown in the plan. The estimate for cost of proposed road is £432, or £13 10s per chain. Although this is a heavy piece of work, the Engineer considers this road could be made for less money than the other, as this road would be fully ft mile shorter, besides having a much better bridge site, which is a very important matter. Tho Board then adjourned.
