The adjourned monthly meeting of the above was held on Thursday. Present—Messrs L'thbridge (Chairman). Grant, Ransome, Park, Nje. Haybittle and Taylor. CORRESPONDENCE. From Rangitikei Advocate, forwarding contribution of 11s 3d to the Hospital fund, being the amount deducted fWn advertising account.— Received with thanks. From Halcorabe Town Bonrd. forwarding detniled statement of the expenditure in charitable aid for the three months ending June 30ih, 1892. The expenditure amounted to £13 Mis. From Wanganui Charitable Aid Board, forwarding stateraeni. of receipts and expenditure for years ending 32*t March, 1892. From Mr K B. McKenzie, forwarding letter from D Young, asking that his time allowed him at Kotorua should l>e cxlendtd, as lie hid not yet shown much signs of recovery owcng to the b«<l weather. The Clerk stated he had written to the Doctor and instructed him to keep Mr Young nt Rotorua until further communicated with. From Wnnganui Hospital Board, stating that a patent named H. Price was about to be discharged from the Wanganm Hospital as incurable. From D MiGregor, as follows : — Sir. — I have been informed by the Audit Department that the sum of £250 12s'5d received by your Board from the Palmerston North Borough Council, in* eluded in your claim for subsidy of 23rd February, 1892, and upon wh eh subsHy at £. for £. was paid, was not money contributed to the Board out of the ordinary funds of the Borough, or of rate raised for the purpose On the motion of Mr Park it w;is decided that the Chairman, Secretary, and the mover inquire into the sale of the reserve mentioned tii Dr McGregor's letter and report at next meeting. From Mr E G. Jellicoe, forwarding copy of draft Bill rf the Hospital Reserves and staling that Mr Travers and himself had succeeded in inducing the Colonial Secretary to undertake the carriage of the Bill and to introduce it as a Government measure so us lo avoid delay. From the Masterton, Waipukurau, and Napier Hospual Boards, forwarding particulars as to the working of the ticket system. The various Boards stated that the Government subsidy was allowed on the value of the tickets sold. From Burnham Industrial School, forwarding account for £17 lls for maintenance of children from the dig* irict. The following were recommended for hospital treatment :— Maud Parkes, Mrs Gascoigne, M. Shanahan, Mrs Summers, and Alex. McLeod The clerk reported that he had given orders of admission in all the above cases with the exception of A. McLeod. — Manawatu Times.
