A Gun Club for Feilding
A meeting of gentlemen interested ie the formation of a Gun Club for Feilding was held at Mrs Hastie's Hotel last night Mr Kirton was in the chair. Messrs Sandilands, Carr, Wollerman Woolven, and the chairman, spoke stronglj in favor of the project. Mr Sandilands proposed, and Mr Wool yen seconded, that a club be formed here entitled the " Feilding Gun Club."— Car ried. Mr Sandilands proposed, and Mi Wollerman seconded, That members' an nual subscription be fixed at 10/6. — Car ried. Resolved, That Mr Sandilands be ap pointed secretary and treasurer to the club, and that Messrs Kirton, Sandilanda, Wollerman, and Woolven form the working committee, with power to add to theii number. The following were nominated as members. Messrs G. Kirton, O. Carr, H. Woolven, J. C. Morey, W. G. Haybittle, James Stevens, A. R. Curtis, H. Wollerman, C. Chayannes, and Mrs Hastie. Mr Carr stated that Mr Chavannes would introduce at least six or seven members from Wanganui. It was decided to hold the next meeting at the Manchester Hotel, the date to be hereafter fixed by the secretary. The customary vote of thanks to the chairman closed the proceedings.
