» Messrs Stevens and Gorton report as follows :— We held a very successful sale at Sanson on the 6th inst. Good class of sheep came forward for which the bidding was spirited and most of the lines were sold under the hammer. Sheep -Fat wethers, 13s 6d to 14s 3d; forward wethers, 12s ; store wethers, 10s 6d • woolly hoggets, Us 4d ; shorn, 9s to 10s 7d ; ewes in lamb, prices from 7s to 12s 2d ; fat ewes, 10s.
