-* STRIKE AT BROKEN HILL. [PI'K UNITKD rUKS- ASSOC 1 ATI ON | Syd.vey, July 4 A passenger by the stennicr Oroya, anrl who was one of those placed in quarantine has died. This Day. There is intense excitement at Broken Hill over the strike, and it is believed the struggle will be a bitter one. The mines are carefully picketed. A trolly laden with goods for the mine officials was stopped by a gang of men, who destroyed the contents. A notice has been posted giving the managers of the Proprietary Block twenty-four hours to quit the town.
