The Junior Cup match, Feildin& It and Hunterville, which was to have been 1 played on the Ovnl on S*turduy last, did not come off as the Huaterville men did not come down. The Rangitikei Football Club defeated Awahun on Saturday at Bulls, after a yery close match by three points (a ; penalty kick) to two points (a try). Iv the first spell neither team scored. In [ the second spell Lawton scored a try for , Awahuri, but tho kick at goal was a failure. On account of one of the Awahuri team holding the ball when collared Rangitikei were awarded a free-kick re suiting in a goal. The Marton II forfeited to Palmerston 11. Kea Kaha defeated the Pirates by a potted goal (4 points) to nil. The Feildiug seniors lost a splendid chance for practising on Saturday afternoon, the second fifteen not being engaged, but only two or three went up to the Oval. _____ ______
