Palmerston District Hospital & Charitable Aid Board
A special meeting of the above .BoarcPwas held on Thursday. Present — Messrs Lethbridge (chairman), Haybittle, Park, Taylor, Nye, and Ransome. The Chairman stated that the meeting had been called for the purpose of formally accepting tenders for the Hospital, When the tenders were opened it I was fouud that Mr Rawlin's tender had been increaaed^byHSf^Sd that [ of Mr Carter for the carpentering did not include the' supply Joffelfrlp'r the roof/ The other tenders were the same as before, with the exception of $hWMr Tf J^^^Sso^pplied for the post of architect 1 . ?/ \ ! A discussion -took, place on the changed aspect of affairs, several members expressing their belief | that the former tenders were* bidding^i>n the tenderers. ; : ;/ ,i-<\\\.LT The chairman was of opinion that the Board should take legal advice oh the matter before proceeding further.
