Melboubne, This Day. A dispute has arisen between the master printers and the men over a proposed reduction of wages. The latter have informed the masters that they are prepared to work at a minimum rate of £2 16s per week, and, failing acceptance of these terms, the masters will be placed in the hands of the Australasian Typographical Association. It is understood that the Government intend to seek power to amend the Railway Act so as to provide for only one Commissioner.
