Service of Song at Colyton

j The service of song, " Farmer Holroyd's Haryest Supper," was given in the Colyton Public Hall last evening to a good audience, under the conductorship of Mr G. Shearer. A tenor solo, " The Joy of Harvest Home," by Mr Tarrant, a duet, " Welcome, Stranger, Welcome," by Misses Watts and Curtis, and solos by Misses Watts and Pope, were all given excellently, and the choruses were rendered with good effect. The Rev. T. H. Lyon gave the connective reading, and Mrs J. C. Thompson presided at the organ. On the motion of Mr J. C. Thompson, who occupied the chair, a yote of thanks to the choir was carried with hearty applause. The entertainment was very successful, and gave great satisfaction to both performers and the residents of Colyton.
