The attendance in the Assembly Booms last night to witness "Shin Fane "by the clever deliniator of Irish character, tf rattan Riggs supported by his talented compauy, was moderately good, Owing to the fact that by a mishap en route the company did not reach Feilding until the arrival of the afternoon train from Napier, so that yery little time was available to arrange the scenery, but, however, the performance commenced shortly after eight o'clock and was really excellent. All the parts were well rendered but pressure on our space precludes the possibility of our giving a detailed notice. We may remark en -passant that the more we see of Grattan JRiggs the better we like him, and several other regular playgoers haye expressed the same opinion. To-night the first part will consist of " Ruth's Romance " to be followed by " Handy Audv " founded on Lover's famous novel of that name. This is one of Mr Grnttan Riggs beat characters, and everyone who really enjoys genuine comedy should go this evening to have a hearty laugh. Since the last visit of the company several talented lady artistes have been added to it, and their presence on the stage should prove an additional attraction, even when the clever and charming Maude Appleton is in evidence.
