+. There was a creditable muster of the Manchester Rifles in the Barracks last night. Captain Bailey and Lieutenants Kir ton and Bray were in attendance. Sergeant- Major Macmillan instructed the men in the firing exercises. After drill a new member was elected, and an amount of detail work was also got through by the Finance Committee. Lieutenant-Colonel Fox has already made a good impression in Wellington Volunteer circles, and it is confidently expected that the force will now be put on a proper footing in all respects.
