Stock Market

LOWES & IORN'S STOCK REPORTThere were good entries of all kinds of stock at our Masterton yards on Wed. nesday last, and a large attendance of the public from all parts of the district which led us to anticipate spirited competition for all kinds of stock which, however, as far aa sheep were concerned, was not realised. There was a slackness about the sale of sheep which was unusual, the the large sales during the last two months have evidently, to a great extent, supplied the demand. Wethers good ewes aud however found purchasers at prices satisfactory to the vendors, while old and in« ferior ewes although sold, were consider - ably easier in price and the competition wan anything but animated. We anticipate a revival as the early sown grasses show up. Cattle as of late were in good demand and realised capital prices.
