(Received April 28, 10.15 a.m.) Paris, April 27. Bavackol and Simon appeared quite unconcerned on the sentence being passed, and they received it ivifch crie3 of " "Viva L'Anarohi." Ravachol's counsel, amid loud shouts of disapproval by those in court, completed his argument for the defence in warning the jury that if his client was sentenced to death new attempts would be made upon themselves. He strenuously urged that the offence was only a political one. The sentence has created a great surprise. The Journal des Debats regrets that the jury were not courageous enough in their duty. Ohirot, the waiter, who is alleged to have been the informer on Ravachal, gave his evidence with great bravery. Up to the present the police have no clue to the perpetrators of the outrage at Very'B restaurant. There is an impression abroad that the Government will be overthrown owing to their neglect in taking precaution to protect the restaurant which had been threatened. One solitary policeman had been told off to watch the building. The sentence was received in the city with great indignation, and it is generally regarded as a triumph for the dynamite party. m^ mmmmmmmmmm^ mmmmm
