Six lots, comprising 1205 acres, were withdrawn. Only one small lot of the Arowhenna Estate was sold. Wellington. April 27. The ironmasters haye refused to recognise the new regulations brought forward by the boilermakers, an.i practically told the men they can go out if they like. It is not thought, however, there will be a strike. Auckland, April 26. The trial of Butler for the alleged murder of Kattao at Helena Bay, was commenced to-day at Whanyarei, and after a quantity of evidence had beeu taken was adjourned till to»morrow. April 27. The ne«vlyelected Most Worshipful Master of the Grand Lodge of New Zea land, Brother M. Niccol was installed tonight at the Choral Hall.
