A resolution was carried to the effect that upon the approach of au election in Wellington a special general meeting of the Association will be held not later than four days after the issue of the writ, at which the members shall select a suitable candidate for election. A railway laborer, named Antonio Periz was found dead in bed to-day at his residence. George Keogh, a settler at Maukn, was found with his throat cut yesterday. Supposed suicide.
