Messrs Laery and Co., of Wellington, reports for the past week as follows : — Gbaik.— Wheat : The market is with" out animation, and the few transactions which hare taken place during the week have been at prices slightly against vendors. The London market exhibits a drooping tendency which later on muse he reflected in tn« New Zealand markets . We quote prime milling, 4s Id to 4s 3d ; medium to Rood, 3s 8d to 4s ; fowl feed, 3s 5d to 3s Bd. Oat* : Market is fairly steady, and considerable business has been done at late rates Bright, stout short feed, 2s ; ordinary, Is 9d to Is 1 IdBarley : Market still continues very firm, and sales have been effected at an advance on last week's prices. Prime malting, scarce at 3s 8d to 3s lid ; medium, 3s 4d to 3s 7d ; feed 2s 8d to 2s lOd. Potatoes.— Supplies are fully up to requirements, and there is no indication of any early improvement in values. Best Derwents arc worth 40s to 455. CHAy?.— Market is unaltered* Prime oaten sheaf continues to realisej6os to 655. Grabs Seed. — Stock heavy. Eyegrass seed is not much enquired for, and sales we only on a moderate scnle. Farmers' parcels, well cleaned, 2s 4d to 2s 9d ; machine-dressed, 3s 6d to 4s 3d. Cocksfoot : Best samples are in moderate request at prices ranging from 2fdto 3-id. Medium and inferior are practically un. saleable. Dairy Produce— Butter : Market hardening. Prime factory-made, lOd ; dairy-made, 9d. Factory Cheese s Moderate sales are passing at np to 4^d ; good dairj-made, . Hams and Bacok : Stocks are low pending arrival of new cure. Prices are, however, without alteration, viz. 6id. to Bd.
