Mutton, Wellington, 4jd. Canterbury lamb, 6^6. ; beef, hind quarters, 4fd. Hemp market is dull, and there haye been no sales at late.

The Antwerp wool sales have closed. Competition was very flat, and nearly all Australian consignments were withdrawn.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report on the produce market for the week ending Wednesday 16th March, as follows :—

Wool — No material alteration in values of this staple have occurred during the week, but in consequence of ad^ vice of the decline in last London sales there is more or less of a panic amongst local operators. Sales since our last report have been the exception, but we notice in the last few days a slight improvement in tone of enquiries.
