. . Wanganui, March 10. The yards haye beeu crowded with sheep during the past fortnight; prices were the same as last quotations, with the exception of ffie sale at St. Hill-street jesterday, "when rates receded from 6d to Is per head in some cases. We had a large entry and cleared all out with the exception of a small line of wethers. Cattle were well competed for, with no alteration in values. Pies are dull of sale. A full number came forward, prices in all cases being in favour of the buyers. Cattle.—- At Warerley: Bullocks, £4 to £4 6s; steers, £3 4s to £3 Us 6d ; cows and calves, £3 18s to £4 15s ; old cows, 30s ; heifers, £2. At St Hill street : Fat bullocks, £5 5s to £5 6s ; cows, £4 8s 6d to £5 Is ; steers, £3 Is to £3 10s ; bullocks, £4 to £4 12s 6d ; yearlings, 265 ; 18-monlh-olds. 465. • Sheep.— At Waverley : Fat wethers, 12a to 13s; stores, 10s 9d to lls 9d ; ewes, 10s 9d to 14s 6d • old ewes, 6s to 7s 6d ; lambs, 6s 10d to 8s ; culls, 4s to 5s 6d. At Wanganui : Fat wethers, 12s 6d to 13s ; stores, 10s to lls 6d ; ewes, 10s 9d to 13s ; old /ewes, 9s 3d to 3s 2d j i lambs, 5s 7d to 6s lid. Pigs — Baconers, 20s to 265 ; porkers, 10s to lis ; small pigs, 4s to ss. Poultry.— Ducks, 2s 6d to 3s 6d; fowls, Is 9d to 2s 6d the couple.
