LOWES & lORN'S STOCK REPORT.
At our Masterton yards on Wednesday last we held our usual stock sale which was very well attended. There was an usual excitement owing to the unprecedentedly large number of sheep penned, 14,500 of all classes. Many of the pens were occupied by really good sheep both welhers and ewes, of the former Mr Chalmers topped the market with 200 really grand wethers, which realised 1 3s. Mr Donald occupyied the premier position in ewes with a pen of 65 2-tooth Lincolns which brought 24s nach. The aged ewes of Mr Stuckey's were much admired and by general consent were considered the best in the yards, and were sold at 13s 6d ; good sheep throughout the sale maintained preyious rates while old ewes were a little easier ; culled lambs also receded a little in price, rams sold freely at 15s ; for old to 60s ; for medium quality in both Eomuey and Lincoln these, prices are of course no criterion of values as the only rams coming forward now are those not considered good enough to yard at the fairs. Of cattle the entry was small, but prices fully znantainod. Figs were neglected. Horses were not admitted to this sale.
