The Autumn Show

The autumn show of the Mancbester Horticultural Society to be held in the Feilding Assembly Rooms on Wednesday next, promises to be in every way as marked a success as any of its predecessors. The exhibits, of which a goodly number are already promised, wiU include many novelties. We hope to see a greater number of entries of produce than there was at* the last show, and it is a remarkable circumstance to us that so little emulation has hitherto been excited in this class, seeing how many capable persons there are in the district of making first-class bread, butter, cheese, and preserves. Surely they are hot all afraid of each other. We remind those interested that butter for competition must be left with the Secretary by noon on Monday next. ; ~
